It is during a warm summer on a boat that Massimo and Marcello, wanting to put the world to rights, decided to create their fashion brand with a burning desire for freshness and renewal. The two friends from Carpi, the Italian capital of mesh, launched their business. At the time, it is a rather sportswear and androgynous collection voted in by several personality of theater and movies hence the name « Phisique du Rôle ». Since then, the brand developed, particularly when Alessandra and Franco took over in 2014. They embrace the past to built the future. « The brand was founded by two men who loved art, history, and trips. We have our heart set on preserving these values », Alessandra tells.
PDR (as they are called), it is the idea of a modern fashion, graphic, joyful, and of good taste. Often oversized, volumes are rather Japanese-inspired, Art Deco floral motives inspired by William Morris and 100% Italian manufacture.
At Victoire, we love their always original little touch: colourful buttons, removable cuffs, sticking out pockets, overlapping motives… are only so many little details that make the PDR fashion very unique and desirable.
