President's is an Italian brand for men that offers chic and entertaining pieces.
1949, post-war period in Italy. In Tuscany, and more accurately in the small industrial town of Campi Bisenzio, an ambitious young man, Francesco Bassi, crossed the Atlantic to come back to his home country with a new product he saw on American soldiers: denim.
Not thinking twice, the visionary young entrepreneur lines up to start. Everything needs be rebuilt and working clothes needs are immense. At only 22, Francesco created Manifatture 7 Bell and flies to the US, without speaking a word of English, to buy several meters cotton twill canvas, in other words denim.
Success quickly came about and the first made-in-Italy denim was born.
In 1957, Francesco Bacci created the brand President’s that will remain undeveloped for almost 60 years. In 2010, it’s Guido Biondi, Francesco’s grandson, who ends up finding the trace of President’s while diving into the family archives. Driven by his love for denim and vintage workwear, he saw the dream occasion to create his own playing ground and to give free rein to his creativity.
President’s, it’s a very chic streetwear collection with a spark of retro.
All fabrics are high quality, Lisle for mesh, Japanese cotton twill for denim, Santa Croce leather, Loro Piana wool… everything is exclusively designed and manufactured in Italy.
What we like with President’s, it is this sense of joyful chic and full of poetry.
